If I'm aproaching the car, it unlocks itself, but yes, you need to open one of the front doors to can open one of the back doors.
If you unlock it from the key, then every door unlocks.

It is the same to you?

I dont mind pushing the unlock button from the key to have all doors unlocked.

It is what it is. This is what we bought.

I have the same problems :(

-Wireless charger doesn’t work. Once it worked after 30-35 min. It did not work again :)

-The key system including keyless entry is not working well. Keyless entry works when it wants to.
Pushing the key button to lock the car doesn’t always work. I changed the battery still it doesnt work properly.

-Sometimes hatchback door is beeping but not openning.

Yes, it’s the same for me. I expected that the keyless entry would use the same settings as the key. My dealership agree that having to unlock the front doors to open the back doors is a gap in functionality. There were a bunch of questions like this one that I asked my salesman and I got a Yes. I’ve discovered that sales people have never driven the cars outside of test drives and really know nothing about the cars. Quite different to Porsche where they go through actual training and are given cars to spend time in. I found Porsche sales people to be real experts in the products they were selling.

@WarrenB :
I can only speak about two German Maserati dealers, they know their products and explain every thing about a model during delivery. And spent a lot of time with the customer. 🇮🇹👍
In my area the Porsche dealer has a middling reputation and turns over sales people more than average. The Maserati dealer has provided me excellent service and employs sales people which meet my expectations regarding pre-sale experience. I think this is a dealer level issue, not a manufacturer level issue

You may be correct. My dealer is 90% Ferrari sales so I guess that’s where the focus is.

My main issue is after less than a week of ownership (Trofeo) I was unable to move off of GT mode which the dealership found out was likely a battery issue. Three weeks later and they still can't figure it out (they know there is a drain somewhere). The worst part is the way Maserati handles this where the dealership sends an email and then waits a few days for Italy to respond before doing the next test/task. This has happened multiple times and at this point I wonder if I'll ever get my car back!

My dealership calls corporate and gets answers within hours on what to do next so I'm baffled that your dealer only uses email. My car was supposed to be ready today but corporate wanted the dealer to perform another module software update before releasing the car to me. I'd talk to a service manager to ask why they can't make a call instead of emailing just to see what they say.

I hope things get better for you going forward.

Thanks Modena, I've asked about calling and didn't get anywhere. But your post has helped me realize I can push harder :)

I feel your pain! That’s exactly why my car spent a total of 87 days in service over 2 visits and it’s going back for a 3rd visit on Monday. Maserati eventually told the dealer to give the car back to me and they closed the service order by making stuff up and saying “working as intended”.
An example is if you often walk up to the trunk/boot, the kick sensor just beeps twice and doesn’t open. The service order says “exiting a front door and moving away 3-5ft from the door handle will lock the car and the kick sensor will therefore not open the trunk. Vehicle working as intended”. What does walking up to the car with packages and trying to use the kick sensor have to do with exiting a front door.
The dealer just shrugs their shoulders as they have to do what Maserati tell them to do.

Guys, can you check how hot are the rims after short driving?
Lets say after even a 5 miles city driving, the rims are hot after my standars.
No hard braking, anticipating everything at the maximum to not brake unnecesary.
So if the rims are a little bit hot, I can assume the brakes are very hot.
Checked also with the A6, the same driving, they are cold like hell.
To have the same temperature in the A6 it is needed some hard abuse.

Apologies Edit but my car went back into service today and they didn’t give me a loaner. The heat of the brake pads is going to depend on the type used, out door temp etc. It’s almost 100degs here today so the wheels will be very hot.

Mine are fine not hot at all, but the brakes on the Trofeo are totally different to the GT and Modena anyway. On the Trofeo they have drilled and ventilated larger discs and 6 pot lager calipers, and the wheel design is quite open to air circulation, along with larger air intake from the front. As "WarrenB" said ambient temperature will have a bearing and also what design type of wheels you have, how open they are for air circulation. Hopefully you will get more feed back from other Modena owners as you can't compare with the Trofeo unfortunately.

Front or rear or both?

Additionally, the GT/Modena rear brakes use Continental floating calipers, whereas the Trofeo uses Brembo 4-piston fixed calipers on the rear. Floating calipers have been known to have sticking failure caused by dirt or corrosion at the points of movement

Speaking about the technical issues, what is the warranty lenght in your countries?
Here it is 3 years with no limit of miles.
I called today the dealer for extended warranty. They said this 2 exrtra years are covered by Maserati themselves and not by the dealer at their own cost.
They quoted 3300 euros including vat bumper to bumper for another 2 years.
They said they can give another 5 on top of it but only for the powertrain.

No service plan free of cost here.
Once per year or 15.000km needs to be done and invoiced by the dealer.

As "Tony Mac" says above, UK 3 year unlimited and 3 years of servicing. The servicing is not actually free it's priced separately and charged for within the over all purchase price in the UK.

Can you check something for me yo see how your cars behaves?
There is something that I saw since the first days.
Car locked, then without having the key with you, try to pull the door handle, of course touching also the button from the handle. The climate display lights on in my case (dimming light) and some buttons on the display are lighted. Also the Maserati badge on the middle (the one with the clock).
This evening I was trying also at the trunck and a massage popped up on the cluster saying "to operate the trunck, you need to unlock the vehicle"
Ok, this is something that I can live with, but still I consider it is not normal for the car to light itself at the interior and to give messages to unauthorised people.
