Hello, I thought I would start a thread with the idea of sharing modifications and additions to the Grecale for those interested - to be able to have somewhere to see what’s available as this new model evolves.

What I’ve added OEM:
  • Maserati Courtesy Lights with Trident Logo (to both front and back doors even though they are listed “for front door only”) $230, Fits Grecale, GranTurismo MY24 and are only a 5 minute install.
  • Grecale All Season Floor Mats with Edge ($180)

What I want to add OEM:
  • Luggage Compartment Rails ($320), Load Floor Divider Bar ($360), and Luggage Compartment Mat for use with Rails ($87). Has anyone ordered car with these supplied or ordered and installed these yet?
  • Roof Rails ($1300 plus dealer install). I think they are only a $300 item to add to build of car if ordering, so quite a markup if adding later.

What I’ve added aftermarket:
  • Madness GoPedal Plus ($299)
  • Sprint Grecale Air Filter 2.0 MHEV F1 Ultimate Performance ($319)
  • Center Console Secondary Storage Tray under armrest on Amazon ($18)
  • Craven Speed Grill Mount Paltypus Front License Plate ($100) CS-AC105-852. No holes and mounts perfectly under main grille on lower secondary mesh grill strip.
  • Maserati Trunk Covered Storage Bins from Delicate-Leather ($59.99 Small Size x 3 will run fully across rear of cargo space along back of seats edge to edge)
  • Black Vinyl application to cover the ugly warning labels on the visors.

What I want to add Aftermarket:
  • TridentMadness Grecale ECU Map (to be released in the next few months, will be about $800 and supposedly will squeeze another 45-55HP out of Modena engine)
  • Maxton Design Side Skirt Diffuser and ($249) and Spoiler Cap ($211)

Trident Madness offers many exterior cosmetic applications like carbon fiber mirror covers, window pillar covers, fender trim, roof spoiler, antenna and fuel door covers, engine covers, etc. They offer other performance enhancements like an AutoFlash, Wheel Spacers and a variety of Exhaust Designs.

If anyone has modded or enhanced interior, exterior, performance etc. Please Share

My Primaserie Trofeo came with luggage compartment rails, Load floor divider bar, Luggage compartment Mate for rails, also full luggage compartment mat if needed, a Luggage compartment net, courtesy lights with trident logo, umbrella and a fully fitted plug in battery trickle charger, all part of the car no extra cost.

I too had full luggage compartment mat, battery trickle charger, umbrella, and net. But the courtesy lights I had to add (both front and back doors) and I will need to add the luggage rails. The GTs and Modenas will not typically come with these things. Check on your rear doors, I don’t think it’s likely that you have rear door Maserati Trident courtesy lights, just front door.

I changed this out. I can't believe they didn't come blacked out like the rest of the car. Two issues though. The black emblem only comes with old fonts and the emblem is not curved like stock. The black emblem doesn't fully stick to the trunk.

I found some new fonts in black on eBay but they cost over $100.

Found this on eBay but not sure if it's curved that would contour with the Grecale trunk. I wonder if they are OEM and painted black or straight up aftermarket.

NM I found a few sources. Gloss black would be the way to go to match the emblems on the side vs matte black. I’m going to de-badge and leave the “Grecale” off and just replace the silver “Maserati” with the gloss-black one.

FYI: TuxMat out of Canada makes a nice rear cargo area 4 piece mat ($140) that also covers the rear of the seats, so that when you fold your seats down, everything is protected when loading/hauling things.

I also ordered a set of WITAMATS black and blue double layer custom mats (I confirmed the blue stitching matches exactly with the blue stitching on my BluNobile PrimaSerie interior) so hopefully it will look sharp. Wanted to “extend” the slight blue stitching accents through to floor of interior of car as well. They are about $250.

This might sound a bit silly. But can I add from the dealership air suspensions? Or even the 360 camera?
Shouldn't be an issue as it's just a software upgrade and to replace the front censors and replace the suspensions. Is it possible?
Or once bought it cannot be changed?
Everything is almost possible--it just depends how deep your pockets. I can see that it will be very costly as you have to disassemble the steel suspension, install the air suspensions, wiring and programming. Same goes for the 360 cameras. New front grille, side mirror covers, wiring and programming too.

Putting this here even though it's from another thread...

I am planning to add some carbon fiber pieces to the exterior (rear tailgate trim, A, B and C pillars, on both sides, also side mirror housings) so I was curious about whether you applied something.
Link to the rear strip in CF? I have seen the other bits but not the hatch trim. Is it a full replacement or a stick on?

I am 95% sure the mirror caps are directly from a Stelvio btw. If that's true we should be able to buy the OEM Stelvio CF mirror caps (can be found for ~700), which are full replacements with clips versus the aftermarket ones that are shells only and need to be epoxied in place (this is true of all Alfas sadly despite every other brand having aftermarket full replacements).

Mirror cap options are abundant at Trident Madness. I was waiting for a direct replacement that did not need epoxy, that had factory clips on it. They have 4 different possibilities now from Feroce. Cap to go over your existing, direct replacement but requiring epoxy and therefore not removable if you need to access mirror motor, direct replacement incorporating OEM mirror caps with clips, and version in forged, “red” CF, and also CF with Italian flag colors at base.

The tailgate trim is overlay - 3M automotive tape.

@PrimaSerie, have you considered the Ragazzon Axle-back exhaust with or without their center section? I contacted Trident Madness a while back to see if the Ragazzon center section would work with the stock Axle-back section, but it does not. Their center section can only be used with their Axle-Back exhaust. I really like the boxed carbon tips of the stock exhaust so am hesitant to replace it with the rounded Ragazzon ones, though the sound improvement would evidently be significant.

Can’t do an exhaust. The wife would kill me. I did an exhaust (among other things) on my Cayenne Turbo S and she hated it, so much so that she refused to drive in it. I wound up having to remove it and change it back to stock.

I also had an off-road exhaust on my Wrangler Rubicon that was very loud and she complained about that, and so did our little boys 😂.

So yes, I looked at it, contemplated it in my head but I can never follow through on the Ragazzon.

I would consider doing this but would want to see it installed on a few first and await feed back, some of these quoted performance upgrades they post are a little over inflated, where as manufactures tend to under estimate, not sure how true but Iv'e heard figures being thrown around that the Trofeo is more realistically 0 to 60 in 3.3 secs as standard.

Important to note: your car needs to be completely “asleep” before installing otherwise there will be all kinds of faults that will come up and also the possibility of the gas pedal temporarily not functioning. Maseratis can take upwards of 30 to 40 minutes to completely “shut down” electronically.

Your car should reset itself if you disconnect and reconnect your gas pedal to stock after a bit of time.

What I did, and I’m not sure why they don’t stress this in the installation instructions. They mention it but they don’t stress it.
For installation:

1. Uninstall your Maserati App if you have one from your phone because that pings the car and essentially can wake it up. Then once install is complete you just reinstall app and you are good to go.
2. Open you car door and leave it open and turn your car off. Don’t set alarm and let the car sit for 40 minutes. Keep your key far away from your car because that will wake car up too.
3. Install go pedal while car is fully asleep
4. Then you can go grab key and return to your car to turn it on and it should be perfect - no error codes and work flawlessly.

Mine has been perfect without issue but I had same problem as you did. So first I disconnected the GoPedal, reconnected to factory. Then I had to “put car to sleep” by waiting 40 minutes away from car with keys and get rid of app on my iPhone. Then I returned to car and all faults were cleared and car functioned perfectly. Then I just took the steps above to install the GoPedal.

Hopefully what I described makes sense.

Sure. But I wanted to make sure that there would be no ping so uninstalling it uninstalled it from several of my devices iPads, and iPhone. But I’m sure shutting all devices off will certainly accomplish same thing.

I wouldn’t be afraid of trying it again - I did and it’s been flawless. All faults were cleared after I uninstalled it and I just waited a day (for no apparent reason other than to be certain that the cluster didn’t demonstrate any faults)

It’s completely undetectable too by the way

Prior to install how long did you leave the car sit - did you leave the driver door open as well so you don’t “wake car up” when getting in to swap pedal to the GoPedal? You can’t have your keys on you at all anywhere near car (like 45 feet away) during any part of this and you need to leave the car in this state for 40 minutes or so before doing the install.

Hi, what was your outcome? Did you leave the driver door open as well so you don’t “wake car up” when getting in to swap pedal to the GoPedal? You can’t have your keys on you at all anywhere near car (like 45 feet away) during any part of this and you need to leave the car in this state for 40 minutes or so before doing the install. Car needs to be 100% asleep. Turn off your Maserati app too on phone so it doesn’t ping car and “wake car up” during process.

Hi FreddieDB :D I just purchased the Formula Dynamics Grecale Muffler Valve Control Kit. I have a scheduled visit Monday for a software update and to see why I had the Malfunction Indicator Light illuminate for a few days. It has since reset and disappeared but there should be an error code readable as to why. It has to be a some sort of temporary failure in the fuel supply/ignition and emission control systems I suppose? But I’m also going to have them install the Muffler Valve Kit.

Your wheels finished yet?

Hey! @PrimaSerie Thank You for starting this thread! Two questions for you if you don’t mind… 1) you never truly answered if you love the Go Pedal… I’m coming from an SQ5 and the Grecale throttle response rate - outside of sport mode - is not too responsive at all lol it almost forces me to drive around in sport mode all the time, did the go pedal fix this nicely? 2) I ordered the BMC filter not due to the price difference but because my prior experience with BMC has been great. Do you feel the quality difference of the one you ordered VS BMC is worth the price differenc? Again, not a money issue so all good if you truly think so. Thanks.

Hi, I love the GoPedal. Although it doesn’t increase the Horse Power, I can feel it in what is referred to as the “butt dyno” 😁. When installing contact TridentMadness do they can walk you through process. Most importantly, so you don’t get any error codes or issues upon installation, is that you leave car door propped open, key far away from vehicle, phone shut down so Maserati App doesn’t ping car and wake it up. You have to let car sit for a good 45 minutes to completely power down.

Then connect GoPedal and then go get your key and get in and start car and should all be good.

I have had zero issues with it, no diagnostic trouble codes (service tech didn’t even know it was installed after bringing in car for a few software updates). Service manager mentioned that my car feels extra responsive when he drove it out of the mechanics bay and garage out to lot to park it 😂.

Another member tried the install but I think didn’t give enough time for car’s computer/electrical system to completely shut down and he got all kinds of error codes and lack of function to his gas pedal etc. which freaked him out. He brought car to dealer. Once he swapped back to stock and let car sit and completely power off and restart everything self-resolved. He was too nervous to try the process again. But it obviously wasn’t done properly.

Madness gives you a 30 day return even if installed and you don’t like it.

As far as BMC vs Sprint, you will notice no difference. I’m sure even with stock filter vs. any aftermarket you will not notice any difference. The reason I chose Sprint is that I don’t want any oiled filter or want to deal with cleaning and re-oiling anything. Sprint you just use pressurized air to clean and your good. I got the F1 performance one, which I think is like $300?

Hey bud, yeah I mean there are def differences.

Audi SQ5 compared to Grecale GT:
-higher redline, a little more fun
-more responsive throttle
-Sport Mode is not just noise, the RPM's will float higher at light and is ready to rip along with faster shifts than the GT in both S and M modes
-feels much faster but given all the research and numbers, it's not "much faster" I think it just delivers the power differently / more fun stock for stock
-cold start not as loud (this is a con for me but a pro for some)
-driver cockpit feels smaller than GT
-for me I sat higher in the Audi, I'm 6'2 so I def notice this one (for me this is a pro because the seat was low but I felt higher and in "more control" instead of sunken)
-brighter headlights & highbeams

Greacle GT compared to SQ5
-SO SMOOOOOOTHHHHHHHH
-SOOOOOOOOO QUIET in regards to road noise - note, my GT has continental contact sport LX's on 21's (I thought the Audi was quiet but damn)
-exhaust note is better
-more insulated
-slower delivery of its power with a shorter power band
-slower shifts
-better cornering
-better launch and delivery of power from a "brake boost" position, the SQ5 even trying your best to do a brake boost launch had a hiccup then it went
-better set up of driver control accessibility and positioning
-trunk space is better

Those are like the "quick highlights" I'd say

Maserati new font emblem

To remove the old emblem. Use some fishing lines and slide in between the badge and paint. Once the emblem is off. This requires some elbow grease. I use a hot airdryer along with Goo gone to rub off the 3M tape residue. When everything is removed, I use clay bar around the area. Right before I apply the new emblem, I use rubbing alcohol to clean the surface one last time before doing so. Hope this helps.
