Grecale Aftermarket Modifications and Enhancements

Hello, I thought I would start a thread with the idea of sharing modifications and additions to the Grecale for those interested - to be able to have somewhere to see what’s available as this new model evolves.

What I’ve added OEM:
  • Maserati Courtesy Lights with Trident Logo (to both front and back doors even though they are listed “for front door only”) $230, Fits Grecale, GranTurismo MY24 and are only a 5 minute install.
  • Grecale All Season Floor Mats with Edge ($180)

What I want to add OEM:
  • Luggage Compartment Rails ($320), Load Floor Divider Bar ($360), and Luggage Compartment Mat for use with Rails ($87). Has anyone ordered car with these supplied or ordered and installed these yet?
  • Roof Rails ($1300 plus dealer install). I think they are only a $300 item to add to build of car if ordering, so quite a markup if adding later.

What I’ve added aftermarket:
  • Madness GoPedal Plus ($299)
  • Sprint Grecale Air Filter 2.0 MHEV F1 Ultimate Performance ($319)
  • Center Console Secondary Storage Tray under armrest on Amazon ($18)
  • Craven Speed Grill Mount Paltypus Front License Plate ($100) CS-AC105-852. No holes and mounts perfectly under main grille on lower secondary mesh grill strip.
  • “PrimaSerie” Trunk Lid Emblem from Oriwave ($32)
  • Maserati Trunk Covered Storage Bins from Delicate-Leather ($59.99 Small Size x 3 will run fully across rear of cargo space along back of seats edge to edge)
  • Black Vinyl application to cover the ugly warning labels on the visors.

What I want to add Aftermarket:
  • TridentMadness Grecale ECU Map (to be released in the next few months, will be about $800 and supposedly will squeeze another 45-55HP out of Modena engine)
  • Maxton Design Side Skirt Diffuser and ($249) and Spoiler Cap ($211)

Trident Madness offers many exterior cosmetic applications like carbon fiber mirror covers, window pillar covers, fender trim, roof spoiler, antenna and fuel door covers, engine covers, etc. They offer other performance enhancements like an AutoFlash, Wheel Spacers and a variety of Exhaust Designs.

If anyone has modded or enhanced interior, exterior, performance etc. Please Share
My Primaserie Trofeo came with luggage compartment rails, Load floor divider bar, Luggage compartment Mate for rails, also full luggage compartment mat if needed, a Luggage compartment net, courtesy lights with trident logo, umbrella and a fully fitted plug in battery trickle charger, all part of the car no extra cost.

I too had full luggage compartment mat, battery trickle charger, umbrella, and net. But the courtesy lights I had to add (both front and back doors) and I will need to add the luggage rails. The GTs and Modenas will not typically come with these things. Check on your rear doors, I don’t think it’s likely that you have rear door Maserati Trident courtesy lights, just front door.
To be honest I have no idea and have note noticed, I don't often open the back doors at night, will try and remember to check when I can. (y)

With my exhaust, as I drive by, I want:
  • Bicyclists to soil their Lycra shorts and ride into ditches
  • Fainting goats in the next county to collapse like rows of dominoes
  • V12 Ferrari and Lamborghini drivers to gawk in disbelief and turn Cerignola olive green with envy
  • To be feared in my neighborhood
  • Dogs to howl, birds to fall from the sky, and women on sidewalks to drop panties
So really ... I’ve owned ten Italian cars and motorcycles. Still have five of them. They all have a soul, and most a sound that resonates with lovers of Italian combustion engines. My wife’s Ghibli has a 3 liter TT V6 supplied by Ferrari that sounds sublime. I just want my Grecale’s 3 liter TT V6 with dual plugs per cylinder and F1 inspired pre-combustion chamber to sound worthy of the name NETTUNO.

I agree but unfortunately due to new regulations all new cars are becoming so much quieter :cautious: especially in Europe, yet electric cars are having to add sound for safety reasons :ROFLMAO:

Install couldn’t be more simple. Would you consider doing this? I’m waiting on the Trident Madness version, but perhaps this is the wiser/better way to go?
I would consider doing this but would want to see it installed on a few first and await feed back, some of these quoted performance upgrades they post are a little over inflated, where as manufactures tend to under estimate, not sure how true but Iv'e heard figures being thrown around that the Trofeo is more realistically 0 to 60 in 3.3 secs as standard.

Maybe let me be one of your test subjects? What would you want to know from me that can be objective though? It’s all going to be tainted with my subjectivity
I await with bated breath for your feed back ;) I would like to Know if any performance gain is actually noticeable, basically is it worth it, as lets be honest we won't be using it that often I'm sure. Also independent rolling road dino tests would be great feed back and assurance the figures they quote are genuine. The figures quoted would take the Trofeo to almost 590 bhp, close to 700 Nm and a 0 to 60 sub 3 seconds which are some impressive figures for sure, (But we do know the Nuttuno engine is quite capable of these figures + for sure) and as I said nearly on par with the MC20 in a 2 ton SUV.

I’m not sure that the speed increase they quote is translatable to 0-60 straight gains.
They state:

Proven performance figures based on EWG 80/1269
Improved acceleration values were measured in multiple elasticity tests from 80-160 km/h in 5th gear under normed conditions.

The performance data was measured over several runs using different test vehicles and in accordance with standard test methods. Our MAHA dynamometers are regularly monitored and calibrated in accordance with standard expert evaluation regulations.

The performance data are determined by a VdTÜV-compliant differential measurementbetween the serial power of the measuring vehicle and the power consumed. Performance values are standardized according to the standard valid since 1980 in conformity with EWG 80/1269. Older measuring methods that are no longer compliant with the standard (eg according to DIN 70020 or ISO 1585) show about 15% higher performance values. Slippage, which would lead to a false identity card significantly higher performance values, is not included by DTE standards.

Manufacturing tolerances and different fuel qualities may result in differences in performance figures. We recommend that you use high-quality fuels such as petrol with an octane rating of at least 98.”

The other test you forgot to mention, that I will conduct after drinking 4 liters of water and then putting on a diaper…is whether the chip tuning HP, torque and speed increases result in me pissing my pants. 💦 👖
Love the last paragraph :ROFLMAO:

Yes agree with what you state, but was just trying to keep it as an estimate in it's simplest form so as it was easy and quick to understand for everyone, ie not trying to get to technical. I'm sure if their figures are correct it most definitely will be one hell of an awesome ride for sure (y)

Thanks man
i kinda figured it out after i let the car rest a bit
as i couldnt use the gas pedal
what did have all of a sudden is a check engine light even after i put back the original pedal
so i managed to drive to the garage lets see if they fix it.
now i am afraid to install it again.
Oh dear that's not so good, sometimes can reset its self when all shut down and left for a good 12 hours. Good luck getting it sorted.

P.S. I see Primsserie has replied and I'm sure his suggestions may help considering he has some form of this on his car.
