I did, A few times as I watched so many more negative reviews it was good to go back to the positive ones. Diehard M fans hate it as they can’t get over an M car weighing that.
Definitely have a test drive if you ever get the opportunity.

Any more specifics that they provided, like what each one corresponds to (I know the 670 and 674) but so that we are better informed? What is your production date?

@PrimaSerie : Production Date is 12-2023. They gave me no information about the different recalls. The only one I remember is the problem with switching from km to miles what I noticed from time to time… but she is running, and never change a running system . 😉

Great question because I lost that functionality with software updates. Unfortunately not sure exactly which one though. I really wish that functionality was still present for both paddles to go into forward and reverse while parking/at standstill. I think in North America it became a “recall issue” due to safety concerns, whereas in EU it was never considered.

But I’m curious too if he lost that functionality

@EDZ : that was my first question when I entered the dealer shop today. But there is no update here in Germany for this function. It is working as it did from the beginning. And that is a very good solution. But the salesman told me, that reverse paddle is NOT working at Model year 2024 cars.

I’m going to transport my car to Europe. I am an EU citizen as well. Mother from Munich and father from Budapest. It will arrive in Gdańsk. Meet me there, we can race through Poland and into Germany. End of race at your dealership and have them restore the “forward and reverse” paddle function. You on board with that?

Just picked up my Modena last week and I love it however a couple of the things I absolutely dont like is the chime sound when you get into your car and start the engine. It there a way (probably not) to change that, hate it!. Also the lane indicator sound is horrible in my opinion.

Haha, yeah the start chime is irritating, especially since it accompanies having to acknowledge the screen disclaimer too, which in and of itself is irritating (but maybe it’s that association that amplifies my dislike of both). The blinker thing I heard several reviewers hate on, but it doesn’t bother me at all. I’m too busy texting and driving, while listening to my AirPods and smoking a bowl for me to both use the turn signal indicator or ever hear it.

Blinker is probably something I can get used to but the chime when you start the car is just horrendous.

Pretty sure this is a configurable option that can be switched off - our UK Modena doesn’t chime when starting

Agree - the turn blinker / indicator sound is very ‘ Clonky and excessively loud ‘ but you do get used to it. I read somewhere that Maserati worked with specialist acoustic designers to develop bespoke warning sounds for the Grecale. In my opinion they failed in this challenge 😑

@Tony Mac I totally agree that batteries shouldn't NEED trickle charging. And 7+ days SHOULD be easily achieved by any healthy, well initiated battery. I have 3 other cars (2015-2020 models) that all have sat for a few weeks without a battery issue.

Unfortunately, it's not always the case in that some new cars (and motorcycles) have high enough parasitic drain, and combined with poorly initiated batteries, there can be issues. I have one '20 car and a few motorcycles that cannot sit for a few weeks without issue. The manufacturers of them actually ship battery tenders with the vehicles. LOL

Even my Maserati dealer warned me not to let my Grecale sit for more than 2-3 weeks without being driven or on a battery tender.

Hopefully those software updates make it easier for all of us to maintain battery health. Sounds like they found some systems that had high parasitic drain issues and resolved them by having software control demand when car is not in use.

Agree with italia. My Maserati dealer said the same thing and even gave me a trickle charger F.O.C, and installed a hard wire connection direct to the battery so it is very easy just to plug in without any effort whatsoever, but never had to use it so far and my car has been left in airport parking many times and up to 16 days at a time, never had an issue. On the other hand my new Triumph motor cycle does not hold charge for longer than a couple of weeks. Also many high performance cars come with a battery trickle charger included. Yes Maserati had a few problems with battery drain which they seemed to have addressed now.

As "Tony Mac" says above no chime on my car either (UK) and most warning sounds are configurable in the Hud. What you have to remember is a warning sound needs to be annoying in a way, no good having a sweet very pleasant lullaby The human brain reacts quicker to that it dislikes or is annoying than it does to something pleasant and enjoyable, after all it is what it's meant to be a warning.

This is not an issue, no needed also to open a new topic, but I'm curious what is the error of the speedometer on your cars.
At 140kmh on dash, the waze is telling me 131kmh real speed.
It seems a lot to me.
For the 5 series I had 6kmh error and for the A6 3kmh.
At least for the Grecale it helps a little with speed tickets as always I will have the felling the speed is much higher than in reality
Btw, yesterday I activated for the 3rd time since owning the car the Aero 2

Anybody heard some knocking sound at very low speed, usually when some manoeuvres and usually in reverse?
Doesnt matter if steering wheel turned or not.
Always only one knock and it is loudly

I have the same --the dealer said it was not an issue--by the way it has gone away for some reason.The car is 6mnths old--seems only to have happened when wheel is fully turned and car is in reverse

I’ve had my car for a week and I am enjoying it, love the design and fell good in it but I’m having lots of little issues which are become very irritating and a new one seems to appear daily. I’ve been in a Mercedes and BMW over the past 6 years and they both just worked out the dealer door. I don’t really expect to be dealing with this when paying this kind of money for a 4 cylinder car and a premium over comparable competitive brands . I have a Modena Limited Edition fully loaded with everything except for the roof racks. Is anyone else having these issues or what other issues are you finding?

1. Wireless charger doesn’t work. Maserati are updating a part in it and the dealer is waiting for the part from Italy.
2. Every now and then, the sound system will start playing out of one speaker on the driver side door. It seems the only way to fix it is to stop the car, turn off and open the door.
3. The key system including keyless entry is just hopeless. Keyless entry works when it wants to. Pushing the key button to lock the car doesn’t always work and at other times it locks but doesn’t beep. Exiting the car and walking around it in the garage to get inside sometimes results in 5 to 6 beeps. I never really know if the car is locked or not. To make it worse, rather than having a smaller speaker to provide an audible tone, it screams at you through the main horn/hooter so the key issues and all the honking is beginning to irritate my neighbors.
4. The trunk/boot kick sensor beeps but never opens it.
5. A speaker in the passenger door has a bad vibration even with normal base set.
6. An issue that has been happening which my dealer mentioned to me that I haven’t encountered is the battery is going flat In some cars. Supposedly the car has been recognizing people’s keys in their homes and turning the car systems on which has been draining the battery.

I worked with a few dealers on the east coast before buying and I could never figure out why none of them knew much about the car and I was teaching them as I had watched all the YouTube videos. It turns out Maserati will not give the dealers cars for their sales team to drive to get to know the car and help test it for them. I’m betting we as early adopters are beta testing the car for them and if that is the case, we should be paid for doing it

There are a lot of extremely positive reviews on YouTube so far but all by people who are doing quick test drives. I think I’m going to do one on my experiences to date to help people make an informed decision and make them understand what they are buying in to. A potentially great car that is very new and still has a lot of issues that need to be resolved.

What are your experiences so far?

I’m having the same issue as you with the speaker and wireless charger . All this money for a vehicle that doesn’t work right . These are annoying little problems that never happened to me in my previous car which was a Cadillac CT5
I’ve had my Grecale Modena for 16 days and been to the dealer twice already to try and correct the speaker issue and they have not fixed it .

CarPlay doesn’t work. Basically after switching to wifi for CarPlay- the system would not hold connection via wifi. Hence the CarPlay can’t respond via the touchscreen.

everything about this car feels like a cheap Chrysler.

What's the build date and what software are you running? Have you been to the dealer? My experience is the exact opposite. My touch screen is very responsive and CarPlay works perfectly. These cars seem like they have had many software updates so I would start there.
