I hope they make it optional.

In fact, I would prefer that they expanded on it. Like the car would go from 1st to Neutral and then Rear if you try to shift down while stopped...

This functionality works really well and I would miss it. If deemed a safety risk, then @Webnoi’s idea of a double click would also work and avoids the accidental single touch / click 👍

At the very least keep the functionality but make it functional if the speed is 0. That must be easy to do. Removing it is just a lazy way of getting rid of the issue And I bet they do it globally as again that would be the easy approach.

After pressing the R - Reverse button, the Paddle gear selectors on the back of the steering wheel can be used to toggle between Drive - right paddle & Reverse - left paddle

Much easier and quicker than pressing the buttons above the computer infotainment panel

Starting in Neutral - the levers do nothing and cannot be used to select 1st gear or Reverse

Pressing D selects 1st gear - the paddles still do nothing until moving when the paddles can be used to shift up & down gears

When stationary - Pressing R selects Reverse gear - the Paddles can now be used to change between 1st - Right paddle & Reverse - Left paddle

Hope this makes sense

You will most likely have a lemon if they don’t get it fixed within 30 days if you want to go down that route. What state are you in? I finally got an arbitration date from GA for 9/27 so Maserati are now forced to respond and not ignore me.

What was your final outcome? In Illinois the law is written such that it applies if: (1) if within one year or 12,000 miles (whichever occurs first after the date of the delivery) the same nonconformity has been subject to repair 4 or more times and such nonconformity continues to exist; or

(2) if within one year or 12,000 miles (whichever occurs first after the date of the delivery) the vehicle has been out of service by reason of repair for a total of 30 or more business day

If the Dispute Board rules in your favor, you can expect one of the following compensations:

you will receive a replacement vehicle of like or similar value.

the manufacturer will buy your vehicle back from you, less the value for miles driven.

I’ve had my car for a week and I am enjoying it, love the design and fell good in it but I’m having lots of little issues which are become very irritating and a new one seems to appear daily. I’ve been in a Mercedes and BMW over the past 6 years and they both just worked out the dealer door. I don’t really expect to be dealing with this when paying this kind of money for a 4 cylinder car and a premium over comparable competitive brands . I have a Modena Limited Edition fully loaded with everything except for the roof racks. Is anyone else having these issues or what other issues are you finding?

1. Wireless charger doesn’t work. Maserati are updating a part in it and the dealer is waiting for the part from Italy.
2. Every now and then, the sound system will start playing out of one speaker on the driver side door. It seems the only way to fix it is to stop the car, turn off and open the door.
3. The key system including keyless entry is just hopeless. Keyless entry works when it wants to. Pushing the key button to lock the car doesn’t always work and at other times it locks but doesn’t beep. Exiting the car and walking around it in the garage to get inside sometimes results in 5 to 6 beeps. I never really know if the car is locked or not. To make it worse, rather than having a smaller speaker to provide an audible tone, it screams at you through the main horn/hooter so the key issues and all the honking is beginning to irritate my neighbors.
4. The trunk/boot kick sensor beeps but never opens it.
5. A speaker in the passenger door has a bad vibration even with normal base set.
6. An issue that has been happening which my dealer mentioned to me that I haven’t encountered is the battery is going flat In some cars. Supposedly the car has been recognizing people’s keys in their homes and turning the car systems on which has been draining the battery.

I worked with a few dealers on the east coast before buying and I could never figure out why none of them knew much about the car and I was teaching them as I had watched all the YouTube videos. It turns out Maserati will not give the dealers cars for their sales team to drive to get to know the car and help test it for them. I’m betting we as early adopters are beta testing the car for them and if that is the case, we should be paid for doing it

There are a lot of extremely positive reviews on YouTube so far but all by people who are doing quick test drives. I think I’m going to do one on my experiences to date to help people make an informed decision and make them understand what they are buying in to. A potentially great car that is very new and still has a lot of issues that need to be resolved.

What are your experiences so far?

I have an appointment with the Maserati dealer here in Sarasota Florida~ in opinions of “You all”. God do I hate that expression! Should I wait for the next year when MaseratiHOPEFULLY would have addressed the issues or shall I light a candle, put a $50.00 Dollar bill on the Madonna traveling the San Genero festival in NYC and pray all is ok with my Gercale? I’m handicapped and have a brain injury from a head on and DO NOT want to get so charge all of the time. MASERATI USA??

Hi, I also just recieved a "traction battery cut" message. Car seems perfectly fine, good power, ac fine, etc. This "electric vehicle" tab is the first time i've seen it and I barely got the health report this morning. maybe this is just a glitch in the app? is your car working fine?
