Paint protection or ceramic coating

I never or would use a dealer only a specialist independent car detailing company. Dealers only employ car cleaners that do not have the expertise to detail a car correctly, they don’t get enough work to employ a full time specialist or pay the salary for one. We had a member on this forum that reported recently that the dealer did the work and has many problems with it and the finish was diabolical.
I had full ceramic coating and part PPF to front and most vulnerable areas like wing mirrors etc.

For ceramic coating I would say 90% of the effort is in the prep work which is minimal and ideally done right after picking up from the dealer. The current products available are simple to apply if you are willing to put in some effort. That is what I opted to do. PPF I think would be useful only if you do a lot of highway driving.

Spend the money and do a full self healing PPF.
