I’ve spoken to the dealer, they’ve also recently had it happen to a car in the showroom - both sets of keys left inside the car so had to break-in 😳🤔

Maserati HQ don’t have an answer - apart from saying it’s not safe to leave the keys inside a running car 🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately I can’t reproduce this faulty behaviour, but sure it will get fixed when somebody works out the trigger sequence.

I strongly recommend keeping keys with you when leaving the car.

hi Tony! i has this same issue happen but it trapped my 4 year old in 90 degrees it was horrific… Can we speak further about this? This is no acceptable or safe! my car has never been running when it trapped my kids or other times it replicates. I filed a complaint with the National highway Saftey association they told me IF others file this complaint they will open a recall for maserati! please please take 5 mins and file the complaint so maserati is forced to FIX this or buy back our cars! they are going to have a wrongful death on their hands it’s not okay!

I'm expecting no less than what Tony had experienced. I'm prepared mentally with all the stories from this forum.
So, when both of us are with the Grecale, both keys are with us.
We have a small girl, and it happened to forget the key inside until Im getting out of the car and opening the back left door.
Total panic when I'm alone with her because there is no guarantee this car will not lock itself with key inside, engine running or not.

PLEASE this trapped my 4 year old in 90 degrees he could have died!! i urge you to file a complaint with National highway safety they will force maserati to fix this or buy back our cars!! they told me more then myself need to complain fo open a recall!

Just had this happen to me today and the engine wasn't even on. Thank god I was able to unlock with the app! This is terrible design. This car is so disappointing especially with all the bugs

PLEASE! file a complaint about this to national highway association! they will open a recall on the key issues!!! my 4 year old was trapped in 90 degrees because the car locks itself in me almost daily!! i am traumatized and begging for anyone who this has happened to to report it also NBC told me if more people report it to them they will open an investigation as well! i will attach her number if you want to call!! i’m begging for help and support here im so scared of this car
